The final product is a visually arresting, unique celebrity hair care line that appeals to a wide consumer audience – available in CVS stores Fall 2023!
If we’ve bottled up this huge secret to share with the masses, it needs an interesting shape that’s wild enough to hold it.
This same style would be reflected in the packaging for other celebrity stylists to create their product lineup.
Imagine a totemic, mysterious form where each bottle feels feels unique – creating a bit of intrigue for our audience.
Our design concept, we hold the secret to great, celebrity hair allowed us to go all in on minimalism and mystery -- something competely different than the sea of dark colors, glittery “celebrity” fonts and motifs in the celebrity hair care category.
The arrows are inspired by signage found around famous mysterious sights: a graphic element used throughout to lead customers to discover something new/different parts of the brand.

A brand manifesto encapsulating how our products bottle up the skills necessary to help you achieve your most famous-looking, iconic hair.

 

This writing exercise also helped us land on the name Best Kept.

We took stock of how our category, customer, and potential company behave, and what our unique selling proposition could be.

While other brands are ingredient-led, Best Kept is expertise-led.

How do we make this brand a platform for boundary-pushing hair experts to bring their trade secrets to the masses?
