This callback spot was a fan favorite for Chris Paul and State Farm fans (yes, they’re out there) alike.

As an extension of this campaign, I was able to let my nerd flag fly – by being a part of the design and creation of an Animal Crossing New Horizons State Farm Island.

I was able to play as “Jake”, traveling to players islands across the globe, and delivering Suprisingly Great gifts to their town like paying off loans and building bridges.

While every other insurance brand out there touts their low prices, we needed to find a way to share our competitive pricing in a way that felt true to the brand.

We were able to develop a creative construct that set up each spot with a surprise ending – much like our surprisingly
great rates.

Chris Paul, a seasoned professional in both basketball and State Farm commercials, was even able to break the fourth wall in this
self-aware campaign.
